"There will be blood, gore & tears if you dare come to campus": Whatsapp message warns UKZN students
Updated | By Latashia Naidoo
A Whatsapp message that has been doing the rounds on social media this morning - allegedly composed by a UKZN student - has warned students planning on attending lectures at the institution today, to do so at their own risk.
In the two-minute-long audio message, a female student cautions others against attending lectures at UKZN campuses this morning - for fear of violence against them.
"Tomorrow is 'come at your own risk day'", she begins.
The student alleges that the directive was handed-down to students by UKZN SRC and SASCO leaders at a meeting held last night, during which: "They literally dare us [to go to campus]"

It adds that students have been dissuaded from driving into campuses, as their vehicles "will be stoned."
She also purports “special forces” will be at the campus from 7:30am, to “mess things up so bad.”
“We are shutting down universities , campus by campus, university by university," she says.
The speaker further suggests that the student leadership want to shut down any form of higher education institution in the country, if their demands for zero-fee universities are unmet.
Protests at the Westville campus have already begun, with vehicles entering the institution being stoned. There is also a strong police presence.
Police have also used stun grenades to disperse groups of striking students.
