SAICA commits to improving accountancy profession in KZN
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants says it's crucial to build a strong network of CAs in the public sector.

The Chief Executive of SAICA, Terence Nombembe and KZN Finance MEC, Belinda Scott are today launching a programme in Durban aimed at grooming CAs.
They are hoping the accounting professionals will then assist municipalities with managing their finances better and improve their prospects of a clean audit.
Nombembe who is the former auditor-general explains what they will be doing today.
"To launch the accreditation of the Treasury and build more and more professionals in the public sector. Accreditation is quite important because without it, you don't have the structure and support from SAICA to build more professionals.
"Today, it's even more important from that standpoint," he said.
