POLL: Is a no-fee increase policy sustainable?

The Department Of Higher Education and Training is yet to make an announcement on fee increases for 2017.

Minister Blade Nzimande said although the Council on Higher Education handed in a report on recommendations for 2017 fee adjustments last week, further discussions are still to take place.
The South African Union of Student says they will meet with student representative councils across the country to table proposed increases while, student leaders have met with Nzimande last week over possible fee increases for the coming year.
Last year, a 0% fee hike in tertiary fees was implemented after tertiary institutions embarked on a Fees Must Fall nationwide protest.
The Department of Higher Education and Training then set aside R2.3-billion to accommodate the 0% university fee increase.
