Police monitor Claremont Road after protests
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Police are monitoring the situation in Claremont near Pinetown where protesters had blockaded roads with burning tyres this morning.

The protest action on Claremont Road was reportedly over service delivery concerns in the area.
Spokesperson Thulani Zwane says no arrests were made and there was no damage to any property nor any injuries reported.

He is however warning motorists who will be using this road this afternoon.
"They must take extra precautions if they are using this road that they might be attacked by these protesters. They must use alternative routes if they want to go to Pinetown or out of Pinetown," he said.
