Opposition parties win bid to intervene in state capture case
The DA, EFF, UDM, and Cope have been granted the right to intervene in the state capture report matter.
The applications by the four opposition parties - as well as that of former MP Vytjie Mentor - have been granted with costs by a full bench of the North Gauteng High Court.
Meanwhile the court has struck Cooperative Governance Minister Des Van Rooyen's application to interdict the release of the report off the roll.
The court says it's not urgent.

Earlier, Van Rooyen's lawyer - Advocate Stephan du Toit, told the court his client agreed to withdraw his initial application based on a letter from the Public Protector's attorney - in which he was assured that the report would cause no prejudice to him.
"And then one has the letter - it's Annexure C, a letter from Adams & Adams which says our instructions are that our client's report will not express a point of view, or make any findings and/or recommendations that involve the allegations concerning your client. Whatever the wording, if you make a finding that there were frequent visits, then that implicates Mr Van Rooyen, then quite clearly, that can not be included in the report," he said.
