Minister Faith Muthambi to meet with ANC over SABC protest blackout
Communications Minister, Faith Muthambi will need to account to the ANC how the blackout of protest action at the SABC was sanctioned without its knowledge.
Chair of the sub-committee on communications, Jackson Mthembu says press freedom is enshrined in the Constitution.
"Yes when you go to the middle you go to the reporting levels, we have expertise that is in abundance but that expertise is messed up by the lack of expertise at the highest level of management" he said.
He also insisted that the ANC never influenced editorial decisions as alleged by former SABC CEO Jimmy Matthews.
