A 45-year-old man has been arrested this afternoon after he was found with cocaine in Umhlanga with an estimated street value of R5000.
The eThekwini Metro Police's Special Patrol Unit busted the man in a parking lot just off Umhlanga Rocks Drive as he apparently waited in his yellow car for his buyer.
Members of the unit, some of whom were undercover, followed up on information they received which included the description of the car and suspect.
Upon searching the suspect and the vehicle, the members found the drugs in a plastic bag hidden under the handbrake of the car.
He was bundled into the back of a Metro Police van before being taken away. The whereabouts of the prospective buyer are not known.
