EFF, DA to announce coalition decision
The DA and the EFF are set to announce their coalitions in hung councils today.
The two political parties will brief the media later after more than a week of coalition talks, speculation and rumours.
An August 20 deadline to form councils was set for political parties following the results of the 2016 Local Government Elections.
The EFF confirmed that it has been in coalition talks with the ANC.
Political analyst Amanda Gouws says it's difficult to predict what the outcome will be.
The EFF briefing takes place at midday. While the DA's announcement is expected at 2pm.
