Driving school operators march in Durban CBD
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
About 500 marchers from the eThekwini Region Driving Schools Operators Organisation have made their way to the Durban City Hall to hand over a memorandum asking for more space from where they can operate.
This instructor from the Rossburgh district spoke to Newswatch about their concerns.
"We are using the municipal areas like the pool areas and funny places like dead ends and that's not good enough for driver training.
"If the taxi association can have places where they can park and the safety is there, what safety we as driving schools instructors have? None. I think something has to be done by the municipality," he said.
