Cooler Christmas on the cards for KZN
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
East Coasters can expect cooler conditions on Christmas Day with a 60% chance of slight rain over most of the province.
The SA Weather Service says the rain will hit southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal first spreading northwards during the day.
Western regions can expect a 30% chance of slight rain.
Forecaster Aslam Sardi-walla says temperatures will vary.
''We have more confidence for rain that will include areas like Durban, Amanzimtoti, the coastal regions along the south coast as well as parts of the southern interior.
''People travelling more towards the north coast will probably have a less chance of rain on Christmas Day, but generally we're expecting mostly overcast conditions across the province,'' he said.
Durban is expected to reach a maximum temperature of 23-degrees tomorrow.
The mercury will rise to 22 degrees in Pietermaritzburg and 27 in Richards Bay on Christmas Day.
