Clashes continue between students and police at UKZN PMB

Clashes between protesting students and the police have resumed at the UKZN Pietermaritzburg campus, after the situation had earlier quietened down following a day of unrest.

This morning, clashes broke out between protesting students and police - with a female having to be taken to hospital after getting shot by what's thought to have been a rubber bullet.
By mid-afternoon, groups of students had resumed throwing rocks at police - who retaliated with teargas and rubber bullets.
A fridge filled with beer bottles was also set alight at the entrance to the university.
