Baby dolphin dies after being pulled out of water for selfies
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
A baby La Plata dolphin has died after being passed around for selfies on a beach in Argentina.

The young creature was found along with another baby dolphin at the beach and apparently picked out of the water at Santa Teresita.
It's believed one of the dolphins became dehydrated while the crowd stroked it and took turns to take photos with it in the blazing sun.
The dolphin was then left on the sand with more people coming to take picture while it lay motionless.
The incident has prompted the Wildlife Foundation in Argentina to issue a public reminder about the need to protect vulnerable species, especially those found off the coast of Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
There are only about 30 000 La Plata or Frasciscana dolphins left in the world.
