ARNSA drives first anti-racism campaign
The Anti-Racism Network of South Africa, representing more than 80 national organisations, will launch its concept behind an anti-racism week in Houghton today.
The launch coincides with the 26th anniversary of the announcement of late former President Nelson Mandela’s release from prison.
Spear-headed by the Ahmed Kathrada and Nelson Mandela Foundations, a group of civil society and academic institutes have come together to fight the scourge of racism.
ARNSA was launched in November last year as a response to a slew of racist incidents.
The network seeks to provide a co-ordinated approach to fighting racism across all sectors of society including schools, communities and churches.
