The league's Provincial Secretary Thanduxolo Sabelo says they're are planning pickets outside the establishment from next week.

Owner Andre Slate has since confirmed to various media organisations that they have a racial policy in place.

This after a picture of an email sent to a prospective guest saying that they don't accommodate blacks and government officials was circulated.

Sabelo says their action against the owner will be two-fold.

"Like we did to Penny Sparrow, we will not sit down and allow racism to prevail. We are going to take [on] the owners of the guest house legally. We are then going to also embark on a process where we are going to raise awareness to the people of KwaZulu-Natal that they should not book [at] that guesthouse, especially white South Africa-loving citizens of KwaZulu-Natal," he said.

iSimangaliso Wetland Park CEO Andrew Zaloumis earlier told Newswatch that they have laid a complaint against the owner of the Sodwana Bay Guest House (not situated in the park) with the SA Human Rights Commission and the Public Protector. Zaloumis says they are deeply concerned by the incident adding that this kind of action by an individual impacts negatively on the prosperity of all in the province.

Tourism Minister Derek Hanekom has also referred the matter to the SAHRC.
