AIDS 2016: Graca Machel, Charlize Theron's 'What women want' discussion
Updated | By Khatija Nxedlana
Graca Machel says too much focus is placed on young women and girls and not enough on the pre-conceptions and stereotypes imposed on them by the adults around them.
The former first lady and humanitarian has been speaking during a discussion at the Durban International Convention Centre, where the 2016 International Conference is taking place.
Listen to Machel's address below.
The panel also included US Global Aids Coordinator Deborah Birx and South African actress and UN Peace Ambassador Charlize Theron.
Theron says more needs to be done to reach communities who do not necessarily know their rights.
