AfriForum and Solidarity to announce legal strategy over quotas
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Civil rights group AfriForum and Trade union Solidarity are expected to announce their legal strategy against racial quotas and alleged government interference in sport today.

The move comes after the Sports Minister suspended the privileges of our national athletics, cricket, rugby and netball bodies from bidding for international tournaments due to a lack of transformation.
AfriForum's Kallie Kriel says they met with Fikile Mbalula last year and submitted a memorandum with their proposals.
He feels they've fallen on deaf ears.
''We are hoping within the next year that there will be clarity on the lawfulness of the quota system. Unfortunately the Minister seems to have simply gone ahead with his plans. We have no other alternatives now but to take strong action,'' he said.
