Deon Govender reveals proposal details

Yesterday Deon went down on one knee and asked his girlfriend to marry him. 

Deon shared a picture of the gorgeous proposal in Italy on Facebook and now he is sharing those romantic details we all have been dying to hear all about!

Here is how Deon managed to pull off a destination proposal:

‘Here is a story many wanted to know about my proposal today. 

I always believed that Venice is a magical place of romance, and I planned this 6 months ago. I made a stack of cards with memories of us and slogans on each card. 

We came to a Restaurant called Cafe Florian in St Marks Square. We had lunch and then I spoke to the team and told them I need them to help me. 

They had a 5 piece band there and I planned for us to eat inside and when we came outside to sit, Roberto from Cafe Florian would take a picture. 

Little did she know that when she came outside, the band with Violinist, Pianist and more started playing "Endless Love", Roberto gave her the envelope and it said in bold "Please read out loud", the last card said: Today is our anniversary and I have more question I need to ask you. 

By that time people gathered around us, I went on one knee and asked her "Would you marry me?" 

After she said yes we went for a Gondola ride down the Grand Canal, fairytales do exist, and you just have to make it happen.'
