Brad praises brave Angelina

All around the globe, praise has been streaming in for actress Angelina Jolie following her brave decision to have double mastectomy. Brad Pitt has praised his fiancé’s courage and has saluted her for inspiring other women…

Brad says Angie’s managed to turn a personal ordeal into an empowering and inspiring experience and hopefully she’s encouraged and brought hope to women around the world.

Angelina took the decision after learning that she has an 87% chance of developing breast cancer. As a result of the preventative surgery the 37 year old mother-of-six says her chances of being stricken are now just 5%. The star says she didn’t want her kids to lose their mum to cancer – as she had done. Her mum was 56 years old when she passed away.

Brad has told London's Evening Standard newspaper: "Having witnessed this decision firsthand, I find Angie's choice, as well as so many others like her, absolutely heroic.

"I thank our medical team for their care and focus."

The Hollywood superstar added: "All I want for is for her to have a long and healthy life, with myself and our children. This is a happy day for our family."
