ANC has suffered major setbacks, says analyst

Erwin Schwella says the party's support in rural areas is still intact.
Schwella says the ANC faces a challenge from the DA in urban areas as well as the EFF in rural communities.
He says the party is in a predicament.
"They will now have to decide in some ways which if these two sets of constituencies who has different needs.
The urban people working one way has particular needs in the urban context and the rural people in a different sort of way and its going to be even more difficult for them to find some form of consensus on a set of policies," he said.
The ANC and the DA are still neck-and-neck in Johannesburg and Tshwane, while the DA declared last night that it had won the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro in the Eastern Cape.
As at 10am, nationally - the ANC leads with 54.3% of votes, the DA with 26.37% and the EFF with 7.98%.
