The Weeknd releases 'Dawn FM' album trailer and release date

Jim Carrey has described The Weeknd's new album as "deep and elegant". The actor features on the album.
The Weeknd is kicking off 2022 with a big bang. His highly anticipated album, 'Dawn FM, is set to drop this week.
The singer has confirmed that the offering will drop on Friday. "New album : dawn FM // january 7th," he wrote on Instagram.
The Weeknd also released a teaser trailer for the album. His new album features actor and comedian, Jim Carrey. According to the teaser, Lil Wayne, Quincy Jones, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Tyler, The Creator will also feature.

The 'Blinding Lights' hitmaker also shared a picture of the album's cover art. He was transformed into an old man for the cover complete with wrinkles and grey hair.
His fans think there is a deeper meaning to the image.
"Basically what he is saying to us is that he is getting too old for this music life and that he feels like he is pressured to make music now because the fans want him more than ever," one fan tweeted.
Jim Carrey is one of the lucky few who have already listened to 'Dawn FM'. The actor took to Twitter to describe the album as "deep".
"I listened to Dawn FM with my good friend Abel @theweeknd last night. It was deep and elegant and it danced me around the room. I’m thrilled to play a part in his symphony," he tweeted on Monday.
The Weeknd described Jim's feature as a full circle moment. "Thank you for being a part of this. It’s kismet. Full circle," he replied.

The Weeknd also released the full tracklist ahead of the album's release date. He has also promised to release more sneak peeks.
