Sugababes cement new chapter with song 'Jungle'
Updated | By Music Reporter
The original members of the 2000s girl group, the Sugababes, are back in action.

More than 25 years after they burst onto the music scene (and after a few breakups in between), the Sugababes and making sweet music together again.
Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhán Donaghy have released an epic new song called 'Jungle'.
The track and its accompanying music debuted in March. "The Babes are back," one fan declared on Instagram.
'Jungle' appears to be a standalone single as the English girl group has not announced a new album just yet. Their new song is released under their own label and distributed by The Orchard.
"We are so excited to release ‘Jungle’ and cement this new chapter for us, after what has been an incredible 3 years on the road. As soon as it was written, it felt like the perfect thing for people to hear first," the Sugababes said in a statement.
The trio's last release was 2023's 'When the Rain Comes', and fans are thrilled they are making music again.
"This is one of the most impressive returns to form I have EVER seen," one commented on YouTube.
Many hope this means the Sugababes have a new album in the pipeline.
"Seeing these ladies win back the rights to their own band and then release immaculate music right after is so satisfying. Can’t wait for the album.
Another added: "If this is the quality that the Sugababes are putting out presently, then the new album will be sensational."
Formed in 1998, the group produced hits such as 'Overload', 'Round Round', 'Freak Like Me', and 'Push the Button'.
Donaghy left the group in 2001 and was replaced by Heidi Range. Buena also left the group a few years later, making way for new member Amelle Berrabah.
Buchanan was also replaced by Jade Ewen in 2009.
The original Sugababes, Donaghy, Buena and Buchanan, reunited in 2019 after regaining the rights to their name and embarked on a successful 20th anniversary tour in 2021.
They are gearing up for a new tour in 2025. Their UK and European tour kicks off in April.
"We are so excited to announce our biggest-ever UK and European tour. The last few years have been an absolute blast, and we can’t wait to hit the road together next spring! Wait until you see what we’ve got up our sleeve!"
