Uncle Waffles celebrates receiving two Grammy considerations

The female DJ has been considered for 'Best Global Music Album' and 'Best African Music Performance'.
Congratulations are in order for Africa's very own Uncle Waffles.
The DJ is celebrating another milestone in her music career.
She took to Instagram to announce that she has been considered for the 66th Grammy Awards.
Her album, 'Asylum', is considered for the 'Best Global Music Album' and 'Yahyuppiyah' is considered for 'Best African Music Performance'.
Waffles started her Instagram post by appreciating the successful year she has had as an international DJ.
"It’s been an amazing year, I’ve played 100+ international shows this year alone and I’m soo greatful for everything that continues to happen in my life," she wrote.

The 23-year-old, whose real name is Lungelihle Zwane, broke onto the music scene in 2021 after a video of her performing at a club went viral on social media. Since then, she has gone on to record music and has caught the attention of the likes of Drake and Ciara.
"Today marks the 2 year anniversary since my life changed and I’m in awe at what has happened since," she wrote on IG.
he went on to announce her nomination considerations.
"I’m in awe at what has happened since , and this part of my journey is even more exciting as I’m proud to Announce that I’m in the running for two Grammys nominations, I need my babysss to share this post for me!! If you’re a member of the @recordingacademy, I’d appreciate your support. Thank you to everyone who made this song become what it is @_.justin99 @pcee.official @eeque_thedreama @tonyduardo @chley_nkosi @official_.aya and everyone who supported it from the DSPs, Magazines and creators who still continue to push it," she wrote.

The 66th Grammy Awards will be held on 4 February 2024. They will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
Uncle Waffles also celebrated being on the cover of Forbes Africa.
"What do I even say, how do I explain that I’m on the @forbesafrica cover. God, thank you, for always choosing me. This journey continues to be a journey of the impossible and this is still only the beginning. Thank you for loving on me my babies. thank you so much! IM ON FORBES BABYYYYY," she wrote on Instagram on September 29.
