Un-skippable! Ed Sheeran loves Olivia Rodrigo's songs
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Ed Sheeran is singing Olivia Rodrigo, Britney Spears, and Lana Del Rey's praises...
Ed Sheeran is one of the most successful male musicians of his generation, but he has nothing but praise for some of the biggest female names in the business.
The 'Perfect' hitmaker recently shared which musicians he thinks have had amazing debut songs and albums during an interview on the 'Therapuss with Jake Shane' podcast.
He rated Olivia Rodrigo, Britney Spears, and Lana Del Rey's debuts as some of his favourites.
Shane told Ed that Olivia's debut single, 'Driver's License', which was released in 2021, was pretty good.
Ed couldn't have agreed more. He took things one step further and revealed that he thinks Olivia has no skippable songs on her debut album, 'Sour', and its follow-up, 'Guts'.
"Both those records actually, ‘Guts’ and ‘Sour,’ are I think un-skippable. It’s just, as a record, just a great record," he said.

Ed also gave Lana Del Rey's 'Video Games' a thumbs up. Lana released the song in 2011.
The Guardian voted it the best song of the year.
Lana, who is gearing up to release her first country album, 'Lasso', co-wrote the song with English songwriter Justin Parker.
The song was inspired by an ex-boyfriend.
"It was a time in my life when I had let go of my own personal career ambitions and just enjoyed being with him at home. He would come home from work and play video games. I would write and watch him. When I was writing that song I was reflecting on the sweetness of it but also something else I was longing for at the same time," she told NME in 2012.

Britney probably got the highest praise from Ed during the interview.
He said her debut single, "...Baby One More Time", is in the “top two or three" when it comes to best debut songs ever written!
