Tems congratulates Tyla on her first Grammy nomination

South African musicians Tyla and Musa Keys are both up for Grammys...
Nigerian superstar Tems is "proud and happy" to see young stars such as Tyla and Ayra Starr getting recognised at the Grammys.
Tyla and Ayra have been nominated for the 2024 Grammy Awards. The pair are nominees in the 'Best African Music Performance' category.
"Seeing these girlies win is actually everything because they work so hard and they believed! I’m so happy and proud rn, a huge congratulations. So well deserved. More is coming!" Tems wrote on X.

Tyla's smash hit, 'Water', and Ayra's 'Rush' are up against five other songs.
Burna Boy's 'City Boys' and 'Amapiano' by ASAKE and Olamide also received a nod in the category.
Another South African is hoping to bring home a gramophone trophy is Musa Keys, who is nominated alongside David for their collaboration, 'UNAVAILABLE'.
"God! Come see me shining!" Musa Keys wrote on Instagram.

Tyla, who earned her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 in October, has another reason to celebrate.
She won the 'Best Female Artist' at the 2023 African Entertainment Awards, USA (AEUSA) on Saturday.
The 66th Grammy Awards will be taking place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, 4 February 2024.
