SZA's 'SOS' breaks Adele's album record

Singer-songwriter SZA is celebrating another music milestone.

Her award-winning sophomore album, 'SOS', has spent its 85th nonconsecutive week in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart.

The album, released in December 2022, surpassed the record set by Adele's '21' album for most weeks in the top 10 by a female artist.

Adele has held the record since January 2016.

The release of 'SOS Deluxe: LANA' gave SZA's album a boost in January. The reissue featured four new songs.

"What I love about this deluxe album 'LANA' is how she carried themes spoken in 'SOS', but from a lighter and mature point of view," one fan said.

"This is a masterpiece and it was definitely worth the wait. My favourite tracks from 'LANA' are 'Crybaby', 'Another Life', 'Kitchen', 'Scorsese Baby Daddy', '30 for 30' and 'DTM'. The production, lyricism, creativity, everything was amazing. Great job."

SZA is currently on tour with Kendrick Lamar. The rapper's latest album, 'GNX', is also in the top 10 of the US album charts. It is currently at #5, one place behind 'SOS'.

The pair is also making waves on the Billboard Hot 100.

Their smash hit 'Luther' just spent its ninth consecutive week at the top of the chart, fending off competition from Drake's new song, 'Nokia', which drops to #3 after peaking at #2 last week.

Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga's 'Die with a Smile' returned to the #2 spot.

'Luther' also features in the ECR Top 40 with Styles (Brought to you by CTM).

It is in the #6 position behind songs by Bad Bunny, Gracie Abrams, Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga and Alex Warren.
