Sk8er Boi at Glastonbury - Avril Lavigne wows fans with impressive set
Avril Lavigne brought "strong nostalgia vibes" to the 2024 Glastonbury stage!
It's been over twenty years since Avril Lavigne released her punk-rock album, 'Let Go', and her fans still know every single word to some of her biggest songs, including 'Sk8er Boi'.
They came out in their thousands to support the 39-year-old at the 2024 Glastonbury Festival, which was recently held in England.
Avril's setlist featured her smash hits such as 'Complicated', 'I'm With You', and 'Girlfriend'. Scores of festivalgoers were seen singing along during her performance.
"Wow! Thank you everyone who came out to see me at Glastonbury. So happy to be back in The UK," she said after her performance.
The singer-songwriter took to social media again this week to share a picture of herself jumping into the air onstage. The post also includes a clip of her singing.
"Sk8er Boi x Glastonbury," she captioned the post.

Fans and critics rated Avirl's performance at Glastonbury as one of the best of the festival.
The Telegraph says Avril's "triumphant mass singalong deserved a bigger stage".
Looking like a steampunk Bratz doll dressed in a Union Jack-emblazoned jacket and black chunky boots, her blonde locks still striped with the pink highlights that saw thousands of millennials ask for similar as kids (me: guilty), the now 39-year-old delivered banger after banger, with every single person in the mostly female crowd knowing every word.
Rock Sound called Avril's performance "utterly sensational".
"There’s a real sense of this being a moment instantly written into the sprawling scriptures of this illustrious festival. A solid reminder that alternative music will always have a place in contemporary culture and a sure fire way to ensure that this won’t be the last time that Avril Lavigne gets to visit here."
