"Doing a Live Session at home is always cool," says Shekhinah.
South African singer-songwriter Shekhinah is the latest musician to feature on Apple Music Home Session. The 'Suited' hitmaker recorded live versions of her singles, 'Fixate', 'Miserable', and 'Tides' for the session.
The songs feature on her sophomore album, 'Trouble in Paradise, which was released in 2021.
According to Apple Music, its 'Home Session' "features reimagined signature songs and thoughtful covers recorded by artists at home and today".
Shekhinah's session "gives her biggest hits an acoustic spin". The former 'Idols SA' star says she was thrilled to take part.
"Doing a Live Session at home is always cool, it’s like bringing the show to the people in the comfort of their own home. I didn’t do completely stripped-down, acoustic versions of the songs, instead I did a full live band sound for this Apple Music Home Session.
"Super fun, super challenging obviously, but just a great opportunity to share that and again, bring the show to the people,” the R&B-Pop artist said in a statement.
