Shania Twain steals the show at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards

Shania Twain has a new celebrity crush!  The country superstar changed a lyric about Brad Pitt in her hit single, 'That Don't Impress Me Much', to that of another Hollywood hunk - Ryan Reynolds. 

Shania made the switch while performing at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards on Tuesday. The 57-year-old, who was sporting a new pink hairdo, performed a melody of her biggest songs during the ceremony. 

Ryan look stunned when Shania mentioned his name instead of Brad Pitt. The original lyrics of the song read:

Okay, so you're Brad Pitt
That don't impress me much 
So you got the looks but have you got the touch?
Now don't get me wrong, yeah, I think you're alright
But that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night

The Canadian star also sang, 'Man! I Feel Like a Woman!', 'Any Man of Mine', and her new song, 'Waking Up Dreaming'.

Shania received the 'Music Icon Award' after her performance. She described the honour as a "privilege and a dream". 

"Thank you so much for presenting me with this award and for highlighting my work as having a significant impact. I’m not sure if that’s the right thing to say, but I feel like that’s always my wish to inspire people with my music.”

She also turned heads on the red carpet. Shania recreated the leopard print outfit she wore in the 'That Don't Impress Me Much' music video.

She wore a sheer leopard print dress that showed off her midriff.

Other big winners on the night include Taylor Swift who won 'Female Artist' and 'Album of 2022' for 'Midnights'. Her single, 'Anti-Hero', also won 'Music Video of 2022'. 

Selena Gomez won 'Social Celebrity of 2022' and 'Comedy TV Star of 2022' for her role in 'Only Murders in the Building'.

Kelly Clarkson beat Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Hudson, and Elle DeGeneres in the 'Daytime Talkshow of 2022' category. 

BTS, Harry Styles, Lizzo, Latto, Becky G, and Carrie Underwood also took home awards. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex won 'Pop Podcast of 2022' for her Archetypes podcast.
