Rick Astley's rendition of Olivia Rodrigo's 'Drivers License' is a must-watch

Can we protest for this to come to Spotify? Rick Astley's fans love his cover of 'Driver's License'.
Rick Astley put a new twist on one of the biggest songs of 2021.
The 58-year-old English singer performed a cover of Olivia Rodrigo's 'Drivers License' for BBC Radio 2's Piano Room.
He performed the song alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra. "This man can do it all," one Instagram user wrote.
Another user added: "This was beautiful, made me stop and listen to every word. So much emotion, thank you. Rick."
Scores of Rick Astley fans also called for him to release his version on streaming platforms.
"Can we protest for this to come to Spotify?" a YouTube user wrote. A second person wrote: "I want a Rick Astley/ Olivia Rodrigo duet with this…"

Rick also performed a mashup of his 1987 classic, 'Never Gonna Give You Up', and Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of You'.
"Rick Sheeran - never gonna give a shape of you," one YouTube user teased.
The mashup also got the thumbs up from music lovers.
"This just fills me with SO. MUCH. JOY," one social media user wrote.

Rick's own music is still doing well years after releasing his debut album, 'Whenever You Need Somebody', in 1987.
His latest album, 'Are We There Yet?', was a big hit with his fans. It debuted at #2 on the UK Albums Chart following its October 2023 release.
"It was a joy to make this album and play some of the tracks for you this summer. I can't wait for you to hear the rest of the album, I hope you love it as much as I do!" he wrote on Instagram.
