Some of these Katy Perry covers just might be
better than the original!
Katy Perry’s hit single ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ continues
to race up the charts.
The singer’s collaboration with Skip Marley is currently at number four on the Coca-Cola Top 40 chart.
The video for the track has been viewed over 160-million times on YouTube in less than two months.
The song is so popular it has inspired countless covers. Some bad, and some good.
We are rounding up some of our favourite covers from some lesser known singers, who are definitely stars in their own right.
Rebecca Black
The girl behind the cringeworthy ‘Friday’ song is full of surprises. With lyrics like “yesterday was Thursday, today is Friday… Tomorrow is Saturday and Sunday comes after”, Rebecca became the music industry’s biggest laughing stock in 2011. But she has made a surprising return to the world of music. Despite her poor vocal and lyrical skills on the disastrous ‘Friday’ song, Rebecca has managed to put together a decent ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ cover. It is a pleasant surprise, and we have to admit it is one of our favourite covers of the song.
Nicole Cross
YouTube star Nicole Cross’ ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ cover has been viewed more than 290,000 times. It will definitely have you tapping your feet to the rhythm.
Alexander Stewart
Alexander’s Katy Perry cover makes us feel like we should be dancing the night away on an island somewhere.
Tiffany Alvord
Tiffany pours her heart out in her ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ cover. We are definitely feeling all her emotions.
Don’t forget to catch the Coca-Cola Top 40 every Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
