The coronavirus has resulted in many people losing jobs and poverty increasing.

As a means to alleviate hunger, the One Love SA network will be hosting a COVID-19 show aimed at raising R1-million to help families that are suffering due to the pandemic.

According to a statement released by the organisers, the show will take place on Thursday, 30 April via Facebook.

It will feature some of South Africa's biggest artists:

Zolani Mahola

Jeremy Loops

Alice Phoebe Lou

Matthew Field

Donovan Copley

Muneyi

Sean Koch

Reinhardt Buhr

Mapumba

Jeremy Olivier

"On the eve of Worker’s Day and Stage 4 of lockdown, we will be live streaming with artists from around the country in their very own homes and studios. The line-up will be loose so that the audience and the artists can participate, interact, challenge, switch things up, hang out, tease, and laugh in an intimate night of connection sharing with the best music South Africa has to offer," the organisers said.

"There is not enough food getting to people in need, but you can make a difference. All proceeds from the #UnlockLoveSA Concert will be donated to beneficiaries supported by One Love SA, including Operation Hunger, SAFE, C19 Community Response, Feed our Valley and The Big Food Drive. The selection has been chosen so that impact can be spread to include a selection of vulnerable groups across the country."
