Surprisingly, AKA - who has had beef with Black Coffee in the past - is on the line-up.

Destruction Boyz, Sanelly Moonchild, JazziDisciples, Muzi, Samthing Soweto, Tom Misch, and KwaZulu-Natal's Sjava were also named as performers.

The festival is named after Black Coffee's 'Music Is King' EP, which was released in 2018.

The Durban leg of the show will take place at Kings Park Outer Fields on December 15.

Black Coffee told the Sunday Independent in 2018 that he wants to unite people through music.

“It’s not about the colour of your skin, it’s not about where you are from, it’s about your love for music. We have become so genre-specific that we are not open to listen to other genres and although I am known as a house DJ, I enjoy all kinds of music. With Music Is King you can come because you love hip-hop but you get to also enjoy rap and kwaito,” he said.

Black Coffee has performed at sold-out shows in Paris, Ibiza, and New York.
