Ed Sheeran just became one of seven artists to have a song spend at least 20 weeks at number one!
It's been a successful year already for Ed Sheeran, and 2017 just keeps getting better for the musician.
Billboard has revealed that Ed's hit single, 'Shape of You', has spent 20 weeks at number one on its Adult Contemporary radio airplay chart.
Ed's 2015 hit, 'Thinking Out Loud', was one week shy of achieving the feat before it dropped off the top spot.
Other songs to reach the 20-week milestone include Adele's single, 'Hello'. The song actually spent 21-weeks at number one.
Uncle Kracker is the artist with the most weeks at number one. His 2003 hit, 'Drift Away' featuring Dobie Gray, was at #1 for a whopping 28 weeks.
Bruno Mars, Celine Dion, Train, and Kelly Clarkson also have singles that stayed at number one for 20 weeks.
Ed's recent 2017 singles, 'Shape of You' and 'Galloway Girl', also enjoyed considerable airplay on the Coca-Cola Top 40 chart.
