The Chainsmokers make history with 'Something Just Like This'
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
'Something Just Like This' helps The Chainsmokers make music history.
The Chainsmokers' collaboration with Coldplay, 'Something Just Like This', has spent its 20th week at number one on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
The song reached #1 for the first time in March, and has claimed the top spot consecutively since then.
The feat means The Chainsmokers is the only act to have two songs spend at least 20 weeks at number one on the chart.
Their single 'Closer' made history earlier this year when it broke the record for "most weeks at No.1" after spending 27 weeks at the top.
Both singles enjoyed major airplay on the Coca-Cola Top 40.
The duo's latest single, Honest, is currently at number 29 on the chart.
