The actor and singer has been in the entertainment industry for over a decade and has done tremendous work, including producing music for the award-winning South African movie ‘Losing Lerato’.
However, to this day, he still faces people who exploit him for his art.
The ‘Dominoes’ hitmaker took to Instagram to talk about the unfair practice of expecting artists to perform for free, but neglecting them for events that pay.
“IT’S INTERESTING THAT PEOPLE CALL YOU FOR PROJECTS, TO SING FOR FREE, ASPECIALLY WHEN THERE’S AN OCCASION OF DISTRESS, BUT WHEN THERE’S PAYING PROJECTS, THEY DON’T EVEN THINK OF YOU!!” he wrote.
He then said he will no longer be participating in such.
“Ngkhathele [I am tired]. We always keep quiet and say yes that cool, not anymore!! #paymeformywork #imasinger #iveworkedhardforthis #singer #producer #musician,” he wrote.
