Lady Gaga is gearing up for the release of her first album since 2020, and her new music is completely different to anything she has released in the past.

The 13-time Grammy Award winner gave fans a sneak peek of what they can expect from her seventh studio album at the end of her 'Gaga Chromatica Ball' concert movie.

The movie, which premiered on HBO and MAX at the end of May, ended with Lady Gaga debuting a new song from her upcoming project.

'LG7. Gaga Returns' flashed across the screen as the song played.

Many of Gaga's fans believe her new album will be inspired by Michael Jackson or at the very least pay tribute to him in some way.

She could be seen doing some of the King of Pop's signature moves throughout 'The Chromatica Ball' tour, which began in 2022.

"Lady Gaga is the Michael Jackson of this generation," one X user wrote after watching her concert film.

Lady Gaga new album

Lady Gaga has always been a big Michael Jackson fan, with the 38-year-old revealing in several interviews that he is one of her biggest inspirations.

It's unclear if Gaga will channel her inner MJ on 'LG7', but she has already hinted that her new music will be very different from what she has put out in the past.

"It’s like nothing I’ve ever done before," Rolling Stone magazine quoted her as saying at the premiere of her concert movie in Los Angeles.

Gaga's 2022 'Chromatica Ball Tour' performance in LA was recorded for her HBO and MAX special. The singer explained how the tour inspired her creative process for her new album.

“Something I’m definitely exploring right now is sort of the art of intensity and I think that the art of intensity actually began during this tour. But I’m not done with it yet.”

She is yet to share a release date for her new album, but Will.i.am is reportedly one of the producers working on the project.

He has worked on hit songs for singers such as Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, and Britney Spears.
