Lady Gaga praises Lucy Dacus’ ‘Abracadabra’ cover
Updated | By Music Reporter
Mother Monster has spoken: Lucy Dacus slayed her cover of 'Abracadabra’.

Lady Gaga is singing Lucy Dacus' praises after the singer-songwriter covered her hit single, 'Abracadabra’.
Dacus put a haunting spin on the song for a recording on BBC Radio 1’s 'Live Lounge'.
'Abracadabra' is featured on Gaga's new album, 'Mayhem.' The catchy tune has been described as energetic dance-pop that is reminiscent of her earlier work.
The song is currently in the top 10 on the ECR Top 40 with Styles (Brought to you by CTM).
Dacus' stripped-down version featured musicians playing the guitar and piano.
"She turned it into a folky, witch-type song," one Instagram user remarked.
Another added: "Perfection."
A third wrote: "Only Lucy could make 'Abracadabra' into a song I can cry to in my car."
Social media users are not the only ones impressed with her performance.
Gaga saw a clip of the cover on TikTok and had the best reaction.
"I LOVE this so much," the 39-year-old gushed.
"Wow, captures the purity of the song," she added.
Dacus, who is also a member of Boygenius, could not believe that Gaga not only saw the performance but also loved it.
"I'm shaking," she said.

Meanwhile, Gaga recently treated her Little Monsters, aka her fans, to a special fan edit of her 'Abracadabra' music video.
She teamed up with Mastercard for a special edit of the video.
"Monsters! The 'Abracadabra' fan music video is here. Your talent is unbelievable and we couldn’t be more proud. Fans, or die," the 'Paparazzi' hitmaker said.
The edit features several Gaga fans who sent in clips of themselves recreating the dance moves from the original music video.
Thirty-two people were selected to appear in the fan video.
"From spot-on takes of Gaga and choreographer Parris Goebel’s moves to performances with more passion than precision, fans obliged – in hotel rooms and dance studios, on mountaintops and in swimming pools, in rain-slicked European squares, suburban American bedrooms and a surprising variety of grocery store aisles," Mastercard said in a statement.
Goebel, who has created choreography for Rihanna, Doja Cat and Beyoncé, directed the fan music video.
