Katy Perry has released a music video for her empowering new song, 'Woman's World'.
The video premiered on YouTube on Friday, July 12.
In the video, Katy dresses up as Rosie the Riveter. We've all seen posters of the cultural icon at some point in our lives, but few people know just why her image is so powerful.
According to History, "Rosie the Riveter was the star of a campaign aimed at recruiting female workers for defence industries during World War II."

Katy also transforms into a bionic woman in the music video before driving in a monster truck with a special guest.
Social media star Trisha Paytas makes a surprise cameo. She is seen pulling the monster truck with only her bare hands and a rope. The truck also features a bedazzled uterus accessory.
"Need a bedazzled uterus for my car so bad," one Instagram user said.
Katy's fans are loving her new song, which many described as their 'new girl power anthem'.
"This video cured my depression, fixed my grades, cleared my skin, put money in my wallet, gas in my car, food in my belly and brought my family closer," a fan teased on YouTube.

Katy Perry New Album
'Woman's World' is the lead single from Katy Perry's upcoming album. She announced this week that the project will be called '143' and will be released on September 20.
Katy reportedly wrote the song with singer-songwriter Chloe Angelides. Producers Dr Luke, Aaron Joseph, Vaughn Oliver, and Rocco Did It Again! are also listed as co-writers.
Katy has described her new music project as a "dance album".
"I finally made the dance album, the album I always wanted to make. This record is super high energy, it’s super summer, it’s very high BPM. We just had a family dance party to one of the songs, and it’s just full of so much joy, so much love, so much light," Variety quoted her as saying in an Instagram Live.
