Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, and Nelly Furtado working on new music
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
The summer is about to get hotter... the dream team is making music together again.
Grammy Award-winning record producer Timbaland is cooking up something special with Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado.
The 'Apologize' hitmaker shared a screenshot of the trio on a video call together. "Da dream team," he captioned the image.
Both Justin and Nelly replied to the post.
"Am I throwing you off?" Nelly asked, quoting the opening lyric of her hit single 'Promiscuous'. Timbaland co-wrote and produced the 2006 song.
Justin commented: "Run it back?"
Timbaland, whose real name is Timothy Mosley, did not reveal any other details about their mystery call, but his fans are excited to see what they are working on.

Timbaland, Justin, and Nelly previously worked together on the 2007 song, 'Give It To Me'.
The track was the lead single on Timbaland's album, 'Show Value'. 'Give It To Me', which peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, was a worldwide hit.
It received a 'Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals' nomination at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards in 2008.
Timbaland has produced several songs for both Nelly and Justin. He co-produced Nelly's third studio album, 'Loose'.
The album produced hits such as 'Maneater', 'Promiscuous', and 'Say It Right'. Nelly first talked about plans to work with Timbaland again in an interview with Vogue magazine earlier this month.
"I actually talked to Timbaland recently, and we had this amazing two-hour FaceTime call," she said when asked if she would work with the producer again.
She revealed that Timbaland also approved of the music she is working on for her upcoming seventh studio album.
"We were talking about when we made 'Loose', and getting into all these stories. He told me he loved how I sounded on 'Eat Your Man.' It was nice to have his blessing on the new stuff," she said.
Durban-born rapper Blxckie was pictured in the studio with Nelly in March, sparking rumours that he will feature on her new album.
Nelly also shared a video of herself and Timbaland working in the same studio they recorded her 'Loose' album.

Timbaland is working on several projects at the moment. He just wrapped up working on Justin's next album.
"We just finished up and everything sounds great. Now it’s really on him how and when he envisions it to come out, but it’s done and it’s coming," he told Variety in April.
He added that the album has a 'FutureSex/LoveSounds' part two vibe.
Timbaland, who says he is in his 'Quincy Jones Phase', is also working on Missy Elliot's new album.
"We’ve got a lot of songs we’re gonna start recording soon... I know how Missy works: It’s got to be new and fun — or maybe not so much new as kind of underground, and everything is upbeat. Some of it has a kind of Latin feel to it, almost a Bad Bunny effect, some of it’s kinda like underground Brazilian funk."
Timbaland has worked with Aaliyah, Rihanna, Madonna, Drake, and more in the past.
