Authorities in New Zealand are trying creative ways to repel anti-vax protesters. Officials have been blaring music from the likes of Barry Manilow to disperse crowds.

According to the BBC, Barry's music was played on a 15-minute loop in an effort to repel protestors camped outside of the country's parliament building in Wellington.

Officials also played the 'Macarena' song.

In retaliation, protestors played Twisted Sister's 1984 classic, 'We're Not Gonna Take It', on full blast.

Protestors are reportedly up in arms over COVID-19 vaccine mandates. They also want an end to all COVID-19 restrictions.

The protestors, who call themselves 'Convoy for Freedom', also blocked some of the city's streets.

Despite blaring anti-protest music and turning on parliament's lawn sprinklers, protestors refused to budge more than one week later.

Enter, James Blunt. The English singer says if all else fails, authorities can try his music.

"Give me a shout if this doesn’t work," he tweeted. James, who is known for his hilarious social media posts, appears to be very serious about the suggestion.

One Twitter user pointed out that officials in Australia have already threatened its citizens with his music. The user shared a screenshot of a tweet - allegedly posted by the country's chief health officer in Victoria - with the threat.

It looks like New Zealand officials are one step ahead of James. A Twitter user shared a nine-hour clip from the protest. Six hours and 48 minutes into the clip 'You're Beautiful' starts playing.

But the anti-protest soundtrack seems to be entertaining protestors more than deterring them. Many people could be seen singing along and waving their hands when James' song came on.
