Harry Styles receives nomination for 2022 Mercury Prize

The former One Direction star has made his debut at British music's most prestigious awards.

The nominees for the 30th anniversary of the Mercury Prize awards have been announced. 

Congratulations are in order for former One Direction member, Harry Styles, who made his debut on the list. 

Styles was selected for his latest and third studio album, 'Harry’s House', which came out on 20 May under the record label, Columbia Records and Erskine.

As well as the award nomination, the album is currently number one on the UK album charts for the sixth week running. 

The 'As It Was' hitmaker is competing alongside the likes of Sam Fender and Little Simz. The two are also first-time nominees. 

This year's awards will be presented on 8 September at London's Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith.
