Elaine releases new single 'Waiting On You'
Elaine has a new single out, 'Waiting on You'. She also announced that her debut album is coming out soon.
It's been five years since R&B star Elaine released her chart-topping single, 'You're the One'.
The good news is that the singer is back with new music.
She released 'Waiting On You' over the weekend.
The single is about a lady waiting on her man who seems to be struggling to make up his mind.

You can never seem to make your mind up
So baby when you ready hit my line up oh
I been waiting for you baby

Elaine spoke about how much it meant to her to release the single after her fans waited for years for new music.
"This doesn't even feel real but I'm so excited that we're finally here," she wrote on Instagram.
She added that the single is taken from her debut album.
"Thank you for your patience, Shining Stars. I can't wait to share my journey with you and bring you into this little world that I've created," she added.
The 25-year-old's debut album will reportedly be coming out in September.
"This music means so much to me, and I hope that it does the same for you as it's done for me. A special thank you to everybody involved. Waiting on you is out August 2nd," she announced on IG.
In an interview with Sowetan, she said she has learned to know her place in the music industry.
"I’ve been in the industry for five years and I’ve learnt to know my place as an artist," she told the publication.
"I’ve learnt how important it is to be honest with my music and to be free. I was told a lot of dos and don'ts when I first got into the industry but somehow God made sure to place me in such a way that I know what my purpose is... which I plan to live to my fullest potential," she added.

US record label Columbia Records
Elaine signed with US record label Columbia Records in 2020 - the same label as Beyoncé and Adele.
The record label announced the news on social media.
Elaine has released several hits including 'Risky', 'Changes', and 'You're the One'.
The singer was the first independent female artist to ever reach #1 on the Apple Music Sub-Saharan African charts with her EP, 'Elements', which was released in 2019.
