Danny's Locnville confession, tattoos, and their latest single, 'Cadillac'
Locnville continues to be one of South Africa's most prominent groups and the duo caught up with Danny on the ECR Top 40.
Danny welcomed back Locnville to the ECR Top 40, but before he got into the conversation, he had a little secret that he needed to get off his chest.
Have you ever wondered what it's like to be Locnville for a few minutes?
Back in 2017, Locnville performed at the Royal Rock Concert in Pietermaritzburg and Danny was the MC on the day.
The performing artist before you guys was Ard Matthews and you guys were getting ready to perform next. SO I was standing backstage - outside your dressing room - and there were a whole bunch of girls who thought that I was Locnville. They were screaming and I'm going, to be honest - I owned it! I have to apologise, but it felt good to be Locnville!
Now that Danny's got that off his chest, let's get back to the music.
The duo has been dominating radio and music charts since their break out in 2009 and they continue to do just that with their latest single, 'Cadillac'.
Where did the inspiration for the latest track come from?
Cadillac is one of those songs that came together through trial and error. We had been working on the synth piece for a while. There wasn't a particular inspiration; it just kind of came together over time.
Cadillac was specifically chosen as the title because of the syllables. I hope people picture the classic car when they hear the track because it brings such a feeling to it; it's such an emotive car.
They also chatted about the inheritance of their unique voice, the Olympics, their favourite tattoos, and their love for cars in this fun-filled conversation.
