It's giving true crime story vibes! Eminem is investigating the death of Slim Shady in his new album...
Grammy Award-winning rapper Eminem has announced that he will drop a new album called, 'The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)’, in 2024.
The 51-year-old rapper shared the news on social media on Friday, April 26.
"THE DEATH OF SLIM SHADY (COUP DE GRÂCE). Summer 2024," he captioned a trailer for the album.
The trailer features his close friend, rapper 50 Cent. It starts with a crime reporter narrating a story about "the blonde anti-hero known as Slim Shady" who had no shortage of enemies.
The album trailer is set in a 'true crime story' format.
"He's not a friend, he's a psychopath," 50 Cent says in the trailer.

MORE FROM EAST COAST RADIO:
The title of Eminem's album has led to many questions from his fans. Does it mean this is Eminem's last album?
Or is he simply saying goodbye to the man known for "rude lyrics" and "controversial antics", making way for a new Eminem?
Which, for a 51-year-old rapper, wouldn't be such a bad idea. Songs like 'Murder, Murder' and 'As The World Turns' from his 1999 album, 'The Slim Shady LP', would surely get him cancelled in 2024.
Don't get us started on 'Kim', a controversial song from 'The Marshall Mathers LP' which details the fictional death of his ex-wife Kimberly Ann Scott. The pair got married not once but twice between 1999 and 2006.
Their daughter Hailie Jade Scott was born in 1995.
"You don't wanna f*** with Shady (why?)/ 'Cause Shady will f***in kill you", Eminem raps on 'Kill You'.
He has released no further details about his new album and the meaning behind its title.
Fellow rap icon and friend Dr Dre first hinted that Eminem has a new album on the way in 2024 during an interview on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'.
Dr Dre appeared on the show in March with 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg, who, along with Eminem, had helped him unveil his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
"Eminem is working on his own album, which is coming out this year. I actually talked to him and he said it was okay for me to make that announcement right here on this show," the Beats by Dre founder said.
Eminem's fans haven't heard a single song from his upcoming album but they are already expecting it to be iconic.
"I just passed out 🔥🔥🔥🔥 This album gonna be hard af," one wrote.
