Daddy Yankee is reportedly suing his ex-wife, Mireddys González, for $250 million.

The reggaetón star, who is known for hits such as 'Despacito' with Luis Fonsi, has also included her sister, Ayeicha González Castellanos, in the lawsuit.

According to the LA Times, Daddy Yankee, whose real name is Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez, is suing the sisters for business damages.

The lawsuit, which was filed in a Puerto Rican court, is against two of his companies, Los Cangris Inc. and El Cartel Records.

He has accused his ex-wife and her sister of "breaches of fiduciary duties and of contract".

Daddy Yankee's lawsuit also accuses the sisters of deleting emails, making financially irresponsible decisions and "wrongfully" alienating him among other things.

Billboard reports that his ex-wife previously worked as a CEO while her sister was the secretary/treasurer.

“Mireddys and Ayeicha González Castellanos proceeded to concentrate in themselves a greater power than authorized and, together, made negligent and selfish decisions that were detrimental to both the companies and [Yankee] in his personal capacity and as an artist," the LA Times quotes the lawsuit.

Daddy Yankee and González started dating in 1995 as teenagers. He went on to become a successful rapper and singer, collaborating with Justin Bieber, Bad Bunny and Janet Jackson

The former couple has two children together, Jesaaelys and Jeremy. He also has a third child from another relationship.

In a past interview, he told People en Español that his family is the most important thing in his life.

"The most beautiful thing I have in my life is my family, without a doubt. My wife and my children are my treasure, the reason why I work day after day to try to give them a better life, to make a legacy for them, so that they don't have the difficulties that I have gone through in this life."

Daddy Yankee and González announced their divorce in December 2024.

"With a heart full of respect and honesty, I want to share some important news about my personal life. After more than two decades of marriage and after many months of trying to save my marriage, which my wife and I share, today my lawyers respond to the divorce petition received by Mireddys.”
