Coldplay fans in Italy were treated to a special surprise during the band's recent performance in Rome.

The 'A Sky Full of Stars' hitmakers debuted a new song, 'Good Feelings', at Stadio Olimpico. Coldplay performed the track shortly before closing out their first night at the venue.

It was the second to last song on their setlist.

“We fell in love in the summer/I remember baby, we felt the sun shine through/And we were born for each other /All the good feelings, for one another/As we danced to the radio," the band's lead singer, Chris Martin, sang.

According to Rolling Stone, Coldplay originally planned to include the song on their 2021 album, 'Music Of The Spheres'.

The Chainsmokers were reportedly supposed to collaborate on the track with Coldplay.

Rolling Stone reports that the updated version of the Max Martin-produced song will feature Nigerian singer Ayra Starr. It is expected to appear on Coldplay's upcoming album, 'Moon Music'.

A fan who attended the Rome show shared a clip of Coldplay performing 'Good Feelings'.

MORE FROM EAST COAST RADIO:

Coldplay closed out the show with their new song, 'Feels Like I'm Falling in Love', which is also styled 'feelslikeimfallinginlove'.

The song, which was released in June, is the lead single on the band's 'Moon Music' album. The album is due for release in October.

The album's final tracklist and guest features have not been released. However, one song on 'Moon Music' will likely feature some of their fans.

In November last year, Coldplay shared an exciting request on Instagram.

"Hello everybody. We hope you are all ok in these wild times. We have nearly finished Moon Music. If you'd like to be on it too, perhaps you could add your voice to a song called One World. All you have to do is record yourself singing "Ahhhhh" for a few seconds at oneworld.coldplay.com. You can either copy the note on the site, or sing a G or C in any octave," the post read.

NME reports that 'Moon Music' could be the band's last album. Coldplay previously stated that they would stop releasing new albums in 2025.

"We’re going to make 12 albums. Because it’s a lot to pour everything into making them. I love it and it’s amazing, but it’s very intense too. I feel like because I know that challenge is finite, making this music doesn’t feel difficult, it feels like, ‘This is what we’re supposed to be doing’," Chris told the publication in 2021.

'Moon Music' will be Coldplay's 10th studio album.
