Uncle Waffles album goes gold

Uncle Waffles made headlines in 2021 when Grammy Award-winner Drake started following her on Instagram.

The rapper also gave her a shoutout in 2022 when he shared a video of her deejaying at an event.

Uncle Waffles has been booked and busy, but she still found time to work on a new album. She released her sophomore album, 'Asylum', in 2023.

"Asylum- this project is a representation of how I felt in my mind trying to grasp an industry I was blessed to be thrown in, an artistic portrayal of emotions and feelings, of growth , highs and lows and all the in betweens. It’s been a journey creating something I love, and I hope y’all love it too," she wrote in March.

Shortly before heading to Coachella in April, Uncle Waffles revealed that the album had already gone gold.

"This post is a little late but we went Gold in a week!! with 1 million Shazams and entered the Global charts. Thank you guys for listening."
