Two of South Africa's biggest rappers have announced that they will be going on a joint tour.
Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C are embarking on an African tour. The tour, which is called 'African Throne', is set to kick off "very soon". The pair will visit countries such as Tanzania, Namibia, Kenya, Nigeria, Malawi, and Uganda.
Both Cassper and Nasty C took to their Instagram pages to announce the big news.
"PSA! Me & @casspernyovest are going on tour very soon!!! #africanthrone! This is an African hip-hip celebration & I’m super proud & excited to bring you this experience with the one & only Mufasa!" Nasty C wrote on Instagram.
Cassper wrote on his page: "Be scared. Me and bro @nasty_csa going on tour TOGETHER!! Can anybody say Hip hop? #AfricanThrone."
Cassper, who is behind hits such as 'Tito Mboweni', 'Siyathandana', and 'Good For That', is also gearing up for the release of his next album.
He has described 'Solomon' as his "best hip-hop" album. The offering will drop on July 28.
Cassper has already given his fans a sneak peek of what they can expect from the album. He shared a video of himself in the studio with Nobantu Vilakazi in April.
"Vibing out with Nobantu Vilakazi tonight, final touches on the album with Alie Keyz," he captioned a video.
The pair were working on a song called 'Summer Rose'. Listen to a snippet of the song here: Cassper Nyovest on new album: 'No Amapiano at all'.
Nasty C, meanwhile, has been busy making a name for himself abroad. The 'SMA (Vol. 1)' hitmaker appeared on DJ Edu's BBC Radio 1Xtra show, 'Destination Africa', during a trip to England in April.
He was also spotted hanging out with Chris Brown in London in March. Nasty C signed an exclusive deal with with American label Def Jam Recordings in 2020.
The deal is a joint venture with Universal Music Africa. He has made appearances on US talk shows, including 'The Ellen Show', and was added to 2022 MTV EMAs line-up as a performer.
Nasty C and Cassper's African tour will no doubt be a world class affair!
