The K-pop group are big TLC and Spice Girls fans.
South Korean stars Blackpink say American girl group, TLC, inspired their music when they first started out.
The 'Pink Venom' hitmakers made the remarks during their appearance on James Corden's 'Carpool Karaoke'.
Blackpink made their debut in 2016 and went on to become one of the biggest girl groups in the world. The group is made up of four members - Jisoo, Lisa, Rosé, and Jennie.
James revealed that they are the most streamed female group on Spotify with more than eight-billion streams and they have the most subscribed artist channel on YouTube globally.
Blackpink told the host that their sound was influenced by various artists, including TLC.
"They had the vocals, they had the rap, they had a bit of hip hop," Jennie said. They then joined James in singing TLC's 1999 hit song, 'No Scrubs'.
They are also big Spice Girls fans. "Since I was young, I used to listen to the radio a lot and their song came out and I was vibing with them," Lisa said.
Jennie added: "And we really liked how they had their own individual characters. That was something that we were aiming for and it was such an iconic girl group in history that we grew up listening to."
Blackpink sing along to 'Wannabe' by Spice Girls. They also belted out some of their own songs, including 'How You Like That' and 'DDU-DU DDU-DU'.

Blackpink Coachella 2023
Blackpink made history this past week when they became the first all-female group in history to headline Coachella. The group is one of three headliners at Coachella 2023.
"So good to be back in the desert. It was such a great honor to perform as a headliner for @coachella. Thank you guys for encouraging us so much," Blackpink wrote on Instagram.
They first performed at the popular music festival in 2019, but were not headliners at the time.
Jisoo, Lisa, Rosé, and Jennie will return to the Colorado Desert in California on Saturday for the second and final Coachella weekend.
Bad Bunny and Frank Ocean will take to the stage on Friday and Sunday respectively. South African DJ, Uncle Waffles, is also performing at Coachella this year.
