Billie Eilish talks about her new single and how her new album sounds completely different after being made during lockdown.

Eilish told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 that she can’t get enough of her new songs.

“The album that we are making right now, including ‘Therefore I Am’, I love it. It’s all I want to listen to. When I’m in the car, it’s the first thing I’m like ‘ohh I want to listen to this”. You know, I just genuinely love it, whether or not it is me, I just love it.”
The singer says her new single is not about anyone in particular.
“This song is very very up for interpretation. I’m very curious to see what people get from it and also what they feel when they hear it,” she said.
The ‘Lovely’ hitmaker says being under quarantine led to her releasing a totally different album than what she initially had in mind.
She told Zane: “This year has sucked for a lot of people, and as much as I wished that I had been able to have the year I was planning on having and tour and blah, blah, blah, we would never have made this album.
“I mean, we would have made something, but it would have been completely different. It’s not like we’re making songs about quarantine, we’re just in a different mindset than we would be otherwise. And that’s just how everything is."

Eilish also spoke about her new music video, which she said was shot using an iPhone.
"It’s basically me running through the empty Glendale Galleria eating a donut and a pretzel. That’s literally it. But like random, chaotic, don’t care s**t. And it was so fun. We shot it overnight, shot it on an iPhone. We had barely any crew. It was crazy,” she said.
